This session presents a series of services and technologies currently being developed and deployed on top of existing e-Infrastructures to support the federation of resources and capabilities. The first presentation “Federated Accelerated Computing Platforms for EGI” gives an overview of the challenges associated with federating accelerated computing technologies that are available at different sites involved in EGI and the work carried out by the EGI-Engage project to support this which begins with harmonising the existing information available on these capabilities so that users are able to extract this information without having to interact with the sites individually. The second “EGI Applications Database” presents the EGI AppDB service which allows users to share their software solutions by registering it and making it available in the EGI repository. The third presentation “Globally Distributed Virtual File System for High Performance Data Processing” introduces the Onezone service designed to help researchers to share their data in a federated environment.
