MD-VPN and e-Infrastructure

Overview:

MD-VPN is providing in 16 counties (18 NRENS) L3VPN (IPv4 v6), P2P L2VPN and M2P L2VPN very quickly to end users. MD-VPN is an infrastructure providing connection service for E-infrastructure thanks to overlay networks over GEANT-NORDUnet and European NRENs. Experience, laboratories or international organization like PRACE or European infrastructure like Cloud can use MD-VPN.  MD-VPN demonstrated its reliability since years and is in GEANT portfolio since April 2015.
From the end-user point of view, MD-VPN is completely transparent. With MD-VPN, the users can access through the VPN to resource provided by all the members of the VPN (like in XiFi project). In fact, other type of MD-VPN users are the E-infrastructures who order a VPN to the NRENs. This E-infrastructure are interested by the MD-VPN reliability, the fact that MD-VPN is able to connect any type of site and the isolation traffic that provide MD-VPN.  Some testimonies from users will be also given during this presentation.
